Mit "They say hurray", der zweiten Single vom Chart-Album "Hair", wird es Phillip Boa & the Voodooclub wieder einmal gelingen, sowohl Freund, als auch Feind zu überraschen. War "Container love", mit dem man sogar in die Top 75 vorstoßen konnte, noch eine treibende Powerpop-Nummer, so läßt "They say hurray" mit seinen gelassenen Funk-Einwürfen eher Vergleiche zur Kompostionstechnik eines David Byrne (Talking Heads) zu. Die neue Single "Deutschlands unkonventionellster Band" (Der Stern) begeisterte gleich zwei namhafte Produzenten. Deshalb findet man je eine Bearbeitung von Tony Taverner und Tony Visconti auf dieser Platte.
